Hello everyone,

 I released PKD's   TONY & THE BEETLES in  November, 2019,  a date purposefully chosen to coincide with the film BLADERUNNER, and a lot has happened since then.  Globally, of course, but also for me personally.  I  came out in 2020 as trans, and   have since been going professionally by Dejah Payne (no longer Jason Payne)   - you can read about my first year of transition in my zine  HELLO, SHADOW!  

Going forward since late last year, my work has been    credited with my chosen name. However this has the left the back catalog under my  publishing imprint,  Syrup Pirates®,       to bear my deadname,  so I'm slowly rolling out    new editions of those books - including this one. 

This is your head's up to download and back up this comic (and any other of my titles you might've purchased)  if  for whatever reason having the comic exactly as you originally bought it matters to you.   For this title,  the main change I plan to make is to recredit myself as Dejah. However,  there may be little tweaks made to the art if I'm feeling ambitious enough to do so.  

As of right now, a date for the update is not set in stone, as there's several titles in the pipeline (including my new upcoming book )     - but I will post new announcements as they happen.

Also, I'd like to say, although this book wasn't a financial success for me, it certainly was a success in terms of the number of people the project has touched since it's inclusion in the 2020 BLM fundraiser here on Itchio  (100% of the proceeds went to charity, so I received no proceeds.)  The book had hardly been out but a few months before that bundle was announced, but I wanted Tony to be   in it because its values were aligned  with   why adapted the book in the first place.  And it just amazes me that, 2 years later,    people are STILL downloading  their copies. I mean, a lot of people bought that bundle!

So yeah, thank you everyone who has read it, and commented. It means a lot!
